Principle objectives

The principle objectives of SIG C2 are:

1. to strengthen and promote international scientific activities particularly in the field of urban traffic control in WCTRS;
2. to encourage a closer commitment also by traffic engineers in a significant potential number from academics and practice to the society.

• Urban motorway traffic control
• Area-wide traffic control
• Urban traffic flow characteristics
• Highway design and capacity

Activities

SIG C2 organizes two regular events per year:

• the annual meeting held in different countries
• the gathering meeting/dinner at Washington D.C., USA, during the TRB annual meeting

In addition, our SIG organizes occasional events by taking advantage of opportunities of various international conferences.

In 2019, the members of SIG C2 published their first book, "Global Practices on Road Traffic Signal Control" was published.
